Paul Bernard Parkinson's Obituary
Paul Bernard Parkinson was born April 8,1924 in Jerome, Arizona. He passed July 3, 2020, in Clinton, Utah. Paul moved from Arizona to Highland Park, California when he was six years old. There he graduated from Franklin High School. He joined the Army/Air Force directly out of high school and took a number of aviation courses and ended up being a waste gunner on a B-24. He was stationed out of England during WWII and was shot down over Germany after 8 1/2 missions. He served as a POW in prison camp (Kremms, Australia) for 13 1/2 months. He was preceded in his death by his wife, Darlene Lorraine Henrickson in 2010. He joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in November, 1957, serving in different capacities. His most enjoyable was serving as an Ordinance Worker in the Los Angeles Temple for 28 years. He also enjoyed working with the Boy Scouts for a number of years. He is survived by a daughter, Linda Corum of Clinton, Utah and a son, Dennis (Eileen) Parkinson of Morgan Hills, CA, along with 7 grandchildren, numerous step- grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
