Paul and I Mickey Wallwork were friends, along with 6 other in the gang. We played basketball and football along with self generated games. I use to play down in the basement and the back and front yards for years. Then we discovered bicycles, cars and electric trains. The local stores were ours to find new and different toys. We both had employment with the FAA. I was at the Generating Radar information, Paul was at the processing and displaying part of the Radar world. I got in my head about a tiny book of things we did together or as part of the Gang.

Thanks for telling me about Paul going to the other side, Jan and I were workers in the
Los Angles temple for 7 1/2 years. There where 28 veils to keep running and sessions that had over 400 who attended at one time. I would suggest remember the details of the vale, it can make a big difference. I call it the Graduation time, knowing there been family before us, will meet again.

Paul was a great friend at work. His thrifty ways were well known and I sometimes teased him about it.
He reminded me of a joke I heard about a guy who was a confirmed miser. He had worked so long and so hard for his fortune that when he finally had the financial independence that he wanted, he couldn't bring himself to spend any of it.
As he neared the end of life, he told his wife that he couldn't rest easy leaving his money behind and badgered her to put it all in his casket until finally she said , " Alright, alright, I'll do it!".
After he died, her friend saw the wife putting a box in the casket and asked her about it. His wife told her friend about what he had made her agree to and the friend said, 'Joyce, you didn't do that did you?"
"Well, I made him a promise. I sold all his stocks and cashed all his bonds and went to the bank and put all the money in the checking account. Then I wrote him a check and if he can cash it, he can have it."
I think Paul would have enjoyed this. I'll miss getting emails from him.

One summer vacation as a youngster we visited Temple Square with Uncle Paul. He told me all about how if you stand in front of the Christus you can hear even the smallest whisper as if it were loud. Unfortunately, they closed the exhibit right in front of us. Paul begged to let me in, but to no avail. Well, three decades later, I found myself visiting Temple Square with Uncle Paul and sure enough, he insisted we go to that very spot.
It felt like reliving that moment the way it should have been. Ah, closure. I'm sure going to miss Uncle Funny-man.

I enjoyed working with Paul. He was lots of fun and I loved to listening to his stories. I will never forget his brown beater car! He would pack items in it like you would a truck bed. I was amazed he could get the stuff in and out of that car. I will miss seeing him around.
