Paulette Rogerson Skipper's Obituary
Paulette Rogerson Skipper, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, returned to her Heavenly Father on Monday, April 20, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Born on July 3, 1947, Paulette was the eldest of eight children born to Kenneth Jack Rogerson and Florence Martha Goodell. From a young age, she embraced responsibility, compassion, and a deep love for family—qualities that shaped her entire life.
On July 29, 1966, Paulette married the love of her life, Roger Skipper, and together they raised three daughters. Paulette devoted most of her life to being a stay at home mother, though she also worked at Shopko, Kings, Dollar Tree, and several daycares throughout the years. Her greatest joy was always her family.
Paulette served as a Girl Scout troop leader for her daughters from Brownies through Cadets, creating memories and adventures they still cherish. She and Roger were active members of the Ogden Valley Muzzleloader Gun Club and attended many rendezvous together. They also loved car shows and proudly showcased their 1951 Buick.
Above all, Paulette treasured time with her grandchildren. She delighted in sharing stories from her childhood, passing down family history with humor, warmth, and love.
Paulette is survived by her sisters Deanna (Nicholas) Rowe, Sharon Thinnes, and Karon Iacovetto; her brothers Kenneth Rogerson and Clark Rogerson; her daughters Christina Lopez and Julie Simpson; six grandchildren—Karissa Rackham, Kyndra (Saul) Gonzalez, Matthew (Lyric) Simpson, Colton Simpson, Conner Chadwick, and Gabriella Chadwick; and five great grandchildren—Zayne Saguilan, Zarriah Lopez, Aayden Lopez, Koriann Gonzalez, and Aleah Gonzalez; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Roger Skipper; her daughter Jeanne Lynn Chadwick; her brothers Garry Earl Rogerson and Jack Kevin Rogerson; her brother in law Michael Thinnes; and her nephew Trent Thinnes.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Maggie and Intermountain Hospice for their tender care and compassion during Paulette’s final year.
We love you, Mom. This is not goodbye—only a temporary separation until we are together again.
