Ellen Chandler
Dear Cathy,
Just today (Sept 4th) I learned that your Mother passed away August 5th. I wish I could have been at her memorial to hug you. I was so lucky to have both Pauline & Byron in my life. They were there for me when I adopted my daughter, Jami. I smile when I think about our trips to Lake Powell, Flaming Gorge, and just making good memories through the years. They were so fun to be with. I loved that you taught at Altara Elementary when Jami was a student there. Pauline and I ran into each other several times over the years after your parents divorced. We always hugged, laughed, and shared the news about our families. She told me when you and Jon separated. I hope you always know how deeply your Mother loves you. From the obituary I see you have a new last name “Christison”. I’m so happy that you found love again. I hope Mark is the strong partner you need in your life. Doug and I were divorced years ago. I moved back to Utah, and typical of your sweet Mother, when she learned I was on my own, she gave me words of encouragement and even offered to help me get a job. I can close my eyes even now and see her- a beautiful, genuine smile on her face. I can hear her voice and know that she was a very special gift in my life. She was so kind to me, willing to help everyone in need. She always dressed so sharp. Her example of a strong, independent woman was just what I needed to move forward. She loved life and worked hard. Her family meant everything to her.
I wish you peace to bring comfort. Courage to face the days ahead. And loving memories to hold forever in your heart. I have no doubt that your Mother will always watch over you and smile as you go forward in your life. She gave you life, encouraged you to be strong, supported your choices, and will always be your biggest fan.
Love, Ellen Chandler ❤️
