Pauline Egbert Lloyd's Obituary
Pauline Egbert Lloyd
Pauline was born April 21, 1940 in Salt Lake City, to Earl Richard and Thelma Henderson Egbert. She passed away peacefully on Friday, August 5, 2022, with her daughter by her side.
Pauline grew up in the Liberty Park area with her seven siblings. She graduated from East High School in 1958. Pauline married Byron Lloyd in 1959. Together they had two children, Larry and Cathy. They later divorced, but remained great friends. Pauline began working at the age of 16, starting at Garden Gate Ice Cream Parlor. She worked most of her adult life in the trucking industry in several office positions. Later on she went to work for Larry H. Miller Lexus of Murray, where she enjoyed working in different departments, sales being her favorite.
Pauline loved to travel and spend time with her friends and siblings. There were cruises, trips to Lake Powell, weeks in Seattle, summers at her sister Marilyn’s cabin and countless weekends spent camping and boating locally. She always enjoyed being outside in the sun! She loved holidays, parties and any opportunity to get together and celebrate.
She is survived by her daughter Cathy Trane Christison (Mark), son-in-law Jon Trane, grandchildren Blair (Logan), Chris (Ashley), Austin (fiancé Paola), Aaron and Emma; Elaine Lloyd, sister Karon (Leland) Sullivan; four great grandchildren whom she adored, Thomas, Liv, Hannah and Max. There are many nieces and nephews who loved Pauline and will miss her. Preceded in death by her son Larry (Oct. 2017), Byron (Feb. 2018), her siblings and their spouses, LaWana, Dale (Rose Ann), LaDene (Harold), Marilyn (Lynn), Don (Sue) and Darrell (Melva).
It was difficult for her to lose her loved ones, there is much rejoicing as they reunite!
I would like to thank Dr. Poku, Dr. Hatten his PA Jennalyn M. and Dr. Patterson for their compassionate care of my mom. Annisa at Alpine Medical who would drop everything to assist her with all her needs. Janessa of CNS Hospice, thank you for your tender care the past few months. I couldn’t have taken care of my mom without your help. Cathy
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 26th at The Old Mill Clubhouse, 6080 Wasatch Blvd. Salt Lake City, UT from 6:30-9:30. Moments of Remembrance at 7:30.
