Peggy Lynn Payton Conger's Obituary
Peggy Conger passed away peacefully in her sleep the morning of January 8, 2023 at the age of 66.
Peggy was born in Ogden, Utah on January 12, 1956 to Jack Payton and Marvilla Christena Rutherford. She was the youngest of six children.
Peggy grew up in Ogden and Morgan Utah where she attended school. She would later attend Painter’s College of Beauty where she studied cosmetology. She would often cut her boys’ hair along with friends and family.
Peggy was a mom, grandma, and a great-grandma. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She married the love of her life, David Ray Conger on March 3, 1991.
Peggy enjoyed fishing the Morgan River with her boys when they were young. She treasured her porcelain dolls and family keepsakes that reminded her of her mom and family members. Peggy liked playing Bingo, Backgammon and card games. She loved spending time playing games and solving puzzles with her grandchildren. Peggy liked all animals, especially her dogs.
Peggy is survived by her 2 sons: Brandon Bateman (Cherise), and Gerald Stocks (Jessica); her 5 grandchildren: Danielle (Trent), Brittany (Jerrad), John, Bethany, and Breonna (Misael); and her 4 great-grandchildren: Zedekiah, Micah, Emberlee, and Cooper.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Marvilla Payton; her husband: David; her 4 brothers: Wilbur Lamar, Gerald, Jack, and Michael; and her sister: Karma.
A celebration of life will be held in Orem on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 2:00pm. It will be held at the Sunset Heights 3rd ward meeting house at 1105 West 600 South, Orem, Utah 84058. All friends and family are welcome.
