Peggy Dawn Peterson Martin's Obituary
Peggy Dawn Peterson Martin, age 76, of Herriman, Utah passed away peacefully on December 9, 2023 at home surrounded by family. Peggy was born in San Francisco, California on August 27, 1947 to Robert Elwood Peterson and Afton Hill Peterson. On June 30, 1967, she married her eternal companion, David Paul Martin, in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they lived in Salt Lake City, Sandy, and South Jordan, Utah and Boulder City, Nevada.
Peggy was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She faithfully served in many church callings throughout her life including Ward and Stake Relief Society President, Primary leader and Nursery leader. She was a gifted seamstress and she loved to crochet. She loved cats, See’s orange creams, going to yard sales, and playing card games with her family.
Peggy is survived by seven children: Chantal (Jeff) Brown, Missy (Jeff) Stowell, David (Tanya) Martin, Steve (Jenny) Martin, Amy Ernest, Rob Martin, Jeffrey (Katie) Martin; 24 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and her cat Bella. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Funeral services will be held at the LDS Chapel located at 5246 W 12445 S, Herriman, Utah* on Saturday, December 16 at 1:00 p.m.. Viewings will be held on Friday, December 15 from 6-8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 11:30-12:45 p.m. at the same location. Burial will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens in Sandy, Utah.
