Pete Romero's Obituary
Pete Romero grew up in West Ogden, Utah in a time where being a tough guy to take care of his siblings was the most important thing to him. And Pete was as tough as they came! When people heard his name, they knew he wasn’t someone who could be taken advantage of and if someone tried, they quickly learned not to do it again!
If you really knew Pete, you knew he was a kind, funny and loving man who would give you the shirt off his back – or out of his storage. He lived his life with only one regret – not being the father he wanted to be to his kids. He wished he could have let go of his past to be there and get to know them as adults but never got past his own demons to let it happen.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Jenaro and Mary Romero; siblings, Bernie, Jenaro, Irene, Gracie, Mary (Wela), Tony, Bernice, Josephine and Jimmy Roy; son Petey and his one true love, Kilo the devil dog from hell. Pete is survived by siblings, Angie, Robert, Tom and Arthur; children, Tammie, Rocky, Myria, Joseph, Tyrone, Matthew, Shana and Ray; many grandkids, great-grandkids, cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Pete wanted to be cremated but did not want any special services. We will have a celebration of life for people to have the opportunity to say their final good-byes. The celebration of life will be held at the West Ogden Park at 751 W 24th Street, Ogden, UT 84401 on Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 3 – 6 PM and food will be provided.
