An incredibly exemplary woman with the gift of teaching a lesson with a specific thesis and encouraging participation from the students in a friendly environment, Phyllis represented the best the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has to offer for someone skillfully and humbly prepared. It was a joy to be with her, to see the rock solid support she gave her husband, also a very gifted teacher and exemplary man of integrity, wit, and charm. Always friendly, courteous, accommodating, and filled with the joy of life and the breadth of vision for a future filled with happiness and longevity, she became someone for us that we wished somehow to have her and Cletus stay in our geographical area to allow their influence to be felt by us much longer. We cherish the time it was our privilege to be in her midst and pray the Lord’s comforting influence to fill Cletus as he adjusts to this new journey he has been called upon to take in this great plan of Happiness, so wonderfully organized by Christ in whom our faith resides as we await our chance, too, at joining those who have gone on before.
