I always appreciated how aunt Phyllis would always exhibit her love for people by sending a card for Christmas and their birthday! What a thoughtful lady she was. One of the most caring person I knew.

We will miss your sweet, quiet countenance. I remember you running me out a roll of dimes when I would drive Lisa to school in the mornings in the suburban to fill it up with gas. I remember the many sleep overs at your house and how you would go around the kitchen in your apron. You were always so kind to me and my family and I appreciated your example. I'm so glad you get to be with your boys. I'm sure your heart and arms are full!
Growing up with a single-working mom, my sisters and I were often left to our own designs. There were two families that kept their eyes on us, the Porter’s and of course the Kelly’s. Phyllis was always so warm and loving, no matter the amount of racket or trouble, I am sure, we got her girls into. For some reason, one of my strongest childhood memories of her involved pizza. I was over at their house, and Phyllis made “bubble” pizza (or at least that is what I remember it being called). I was so confused by this, until I saw the giant bubbles that were all over the pizza. Over the 30 years plus since that memory, every time I see a giant bubble on a pizza slice I think of her, that day, and the quiet but fierce love and care that she and Bruce had/have not only for three little girls but everyone around them.
You are missed Phyllis.
"Your life was a testament to the power of kindness, the strength of character, and the beauty of a life well-lived" See you on the other side Aunt Phyllis.
