Phyllis Carolyn White's Obituary
Phyllis Carolyn (Wills) White, 91 beloved friend, passed away at her home on June 6, 2020. She was born on May 29, 1929 in Ligonier, Indiana to Carolyn Wills. She was married to Robert S. White on November 29, 1957.
Phyllis was an amazing, delightful, colorful, sassy, lady who had an adventurous, dynamic personality with a heart of gold. She was a life-long learner, reader, listening and absorbing the world around her, enhancing her remarkable memory and stretching her already high intelligence to an even higher level. She experienced and accomplished so much in her life, we wished she had written a book about them – it would have been a best seller.
She earned several degrees to include genealogy and a Master degree in Art. Her pottery was well known, earning her many awards. Watching her spin the wheel was indeed captivating, creating gorgeous pieces of art with ease. She worked hard and played hard her whole life, being an example for all.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert S. White, which she took such good care of prior to his death in 2004. They were always on an adventure wherever life took them.
Phyllis was so lucky to have good friends, Jerry, Jodie, Chad and Angie that took care of her around the clock till her death. She always said, “Jerry is my best friend.” We would like to extend a very special thank you to Everest Home Health Care and Hospice who livingly cared for Phyllis the last days of her life. The team, “Team Phyllis,” consisting of Tamara, Kaylee, Katie, Shanna, Peggy, Trevor and Tina were exceptional in their caring, loving, respectful care. We couldn’t have done it without you.
