Ramona Woolley Lloyd's Obituary
Ramona Woolley Lloyd was born to Gwendolyn and Albert Woolley on September, 27 1918 in Logan, Utah. She married John Clifton Lloyd on New Year’s Eve in 1936 and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. She devoted her life to raising six children in a two bedroom home on Sherman Avenue in Salt Lake City, Utah. Our Mother and Grandma loved selflessly, beautifully and always without condition. Wading mountain rivers for fish to be caught and tending to the roses in her garden were pleasures she enjoyed well into the twilight of her long, happy life. She had a love affair with chocolate and an equally passionate dislike somehow for the “taste” of water. She was quick with sharp wit and humor; she made us laugh often. We will hold tight to the countless memories of her that we are so blessed to have. Grandma will be missed terribly but she will live forever in our hearts. She was proceeded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her sister, Joan Slaughter, son, John Lloyd (Carol), daughter, Diane Wewee (Dave), son, Kimball Lloyd (Christine), son, Mike Lloyd (Brenda), son, Rob Lloyd (Gloria) and daughter, Julie Tripp (Doug), 26 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Rest peacefully, sweet mother. Funeral services will be held 12 Noon, Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the Holladay 26th ward, 4601 South 2565 East, Holladay, Utah where family and friends can gather at 11:00 am. Our heartfelt thanks to her sweet nurse, Debra and Harmony Homecare and Hospice.
