RAMONA FLETTER NEFF
October 22, 1931 to April 28, 2019
Ramona Fletter Neff, a longtime resident of Sandy, died peacefully Sunday morning. She was born on October 22, 1931, in Granite, Utah to Harry John Fletter and Flossie May McAdams. She was the youngest of 4 children.
Ramona met William Eugene Neff the summer before her Junior year in high school and married him the day after she graduated on May 25, 1949, in the Salt Lake Temple. They were happily married for 70 years. Billie was the “Light of Her Life”. Some of the things they really enjoyed doing together was dancing, traveling, and camping in the Uinta Mountains.
Ramona was a woman of many talents. She loved to draw and paint, direct Road Shows, loved music, sewing and cooking.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints her entire life. She was a leader in her church callings and always did her very best. She also supported Billie in his church callings. Her most important calling was being a mother to her children and loving her husband Billie. She and Billie served in the Atlantic Temple Mission.
She was preceded in death by her siblings Elmer Curtis Fletter, Shirley Sarah Martin and Phyllis Utley. She is survived by her five children: Mona Lynn Ballard, Dessa Lee Heppler (Thone), Wendy Sue Stevenson (Monte), Wade William Neff (Shaunell), Holly Ann Taylor (Brian); 25 Grandchildren, 34 Great Grandchildren
A funeral service will be held Monday, May 6th, 2019, at the Mount Jordan 1st Ward Chapel, 8950 S. 400 E., Sandy, Utah 84070. Viewings will be held Sunday evening at 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the same location, and Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. before the funeral.
