Randy Jay Martinson's Obituary
Randy Jay Martinson, 76, passed away peacefully in his home in Centerville, Utah, on June 10, 2026.
Randy was born on January 27, 1950, in Salt Lake City, Utah, son of Ralph and Arlene Martinson. As a young boy, his family moved to Minnesota, where they lived for several years before returning to Utah, where he spent the remainder of his youth. He graduated from Viewmont High School in 1968.
On September 15, 1972, Randy married the love of his life, Donna Elaine Dixon, and together they settled in Centerville, Utah. They built a life centered on family, hard work, and plenty of fun. Randy was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose greatest joy came from the people he loved.
In 1980, Randy founded Salt City Sales, now known as Golden Stag Gloves. Not only did the business provide well for his own family, but it also created employment opportunities for many extended family members and friends. Through determination, integrity, and hard work, Randy built a successful company that reflected his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to those around him.
Randy enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing poker with friends, vacationing to warm destinations with family and friends, and spending time on the water behind the wheel of his boat.
Those who knew Randy will remember him best for his generosity. He was always willing to help someone in need, offer encouragement, or share what he had. His kindness, steady presence, and deep love for family left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Randy is survived by his loving wife, Donna; his children, Tracy, Marty (Aubrey), Kelly, and Casey; his 13 grandchildren, Kayden, Stewart, Hallie, Jack, Jace, Jerzee, Miley, Gentry, Alli, Grady, Quinn, Jay, and Koda; and his siblings, Dennis, Steve, and Anmarie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Arlene Martinson, and his sister, Maureen.
His legacy lives on through his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, and the many lives he touched through his generosity, hard work, and love. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 20th at 5:00 pm sharp.
