Randy Scales Miller's Obituary
Randolph “Randy” Scales Miller passed away on Friday December 28, 2012 at the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, at the age of 70. Randy was born to Raymond and Verlynn Miller on October 22, 1942 in Washington D.C. The family moved to Logan, Utah when Randy was in high school. After graduating from Logan High, he became an auto mechanic who worked and lived in Logan/Salt Lake, Utah; Pocatello, Idaho; San Marcos, California; and Mesa, Arizona, before moving back to Magna, Utah in 1991. He retired from the Utah Transit Authority in 2010. In younger days, he was happiest under the hood or behind the wheel of a car. In retirement, he was an avid reader, reading about a book a week. He favored mysteries, thrillers, and histories, with his wife beside him and a dog and/or grandkid on his lap. He was a generous son, brother, friend, husband, father, and grandfather. He was a man of few words except when they were most needed. His wisdom and humor will be missed. He is survived by his siblings: Vicki (Egbert), Cheryl, Dennis, and Dwight Miller, his mother-in-law Wynona Steele, his wife Suezann Miller, his son Randy Turner, his daughters Adrienne Meyers-Leeger, Jeana Burton, and Rae Lynn Allen, his sons-in-law Marc Leeger, Matthew Burton, Chris Allen, and grandchildren Stephanie, Kaydence, Max, and Canyon. A Celebration of Life open house will be held this Saturday, January 5 from 12-2 at the Logan Best Western Baugh Motel banquet room. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, the family requests assistance with end of life costs (through Rae Lynn Allen) or donations to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation.
