I had the luck of meeting and caring for Raul at LDS Hospital. He was a great faithful man who loved his family and life. Always uplifting he gave graciously to all he met. His love for his family is eternal.
Querido hermano, fuiste un ejemplo para nosotros, como hijo, padre y hermano. Que descanses en paz.
I was sad to read about the passing of Raul, who was a good friend mine. I first met Raul when I started working at the Granite Records Vault in 1989. He trained me in all facets of microfilm inspection and duplication. He was also an example to me of someone who had suffered a great tragedy but still lived is life to the fullest even when he had bad days, you would still see him smiling and dong his job. I am a better person for knowing Raul. I am happy he is now free of his wheelchair and running in that great marathon in the sky. Raul's family was very lucky to have him.
Raul was a great role model to me. He taught me my first words of Portuguese. He was always interested in the things I was interested in doing, such as music sports, and languages. We've lost a one of a kind man. I will always keep you in my heart and mind and will miss you very much.
Tio Rulo, we all admire your accomplishments in life despite of your condition, you lived your life a full and never gave up. Now, you are in a better place, and with great company. I hope you are reunited with my dad. R.I.P
