Reed Brice Ashby's Obituary
Reed Brice Ashby, 71, of Millcreek Utah, passed away on April 3, 2026 at Pheasant Hollow Assisted Living.
Born March 7, 1955, and delivered to Dr. Armis and Leland Ashby of Oakland, California. Reed earned his Eagle Scout, Order of the Arrow and Duty To God awards, graduated from Skyline High School, class of 1973, in Oakland California and went on to BYU.
Music was his passion, he made a career of performing in a band and was also a successful DJ. Reed also loved outdoor sports, skiing, hiking and rock climbing. Reed possessed a brilliant mind for problem-solving and spent much of his time helping friends with projects.
Reed met Janet White in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, where he was working. The two had a daughter. He is survived by Janet White, daughter Sarah-Jane Calmer (Mitch Corley Calmer), granddaughter Marlow Marie Calmer, and sister Patrice Ashby-Rose (David Rose)
