Reed Alton Nesbitt's Obituary
Reed Nesbitt (Age 85) Of Salt Lake City, Utah was born September 24th, 1936 to Helen and William “Roy” Nesbitt.
He departed this world peacefully in his sleep on November 19, 2021.
Reed married his wife Colleen Nesbitt at the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints November 12, 1958 and celebrated their 63rd Anniversary on November 12, 2021.
He graduated from East High School in 1955, attended University of Utah and served eight years in the United States Navy Reserve.
Reed worked at the U.S. Postal Service for 42 years. He was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan, enjoyed watching football, hunting, fishing, estate sales, eating at buffets, and adventures to Wendover. He was a loving father and grandfather. He always told everyone how proud of them he was and to “keep up the good work.”
He is survived by his wife Colleen Nesbitt, his children David Nesbitt, Liz and David Ranquist, Brent and Susie Nesbitt, James Nesbitt, 22 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son Todd Nesbitt, his grandson Jeffrey Nesbitt, his siblings Darlene Armitstead, Bonnie Gerleve, Bill Nesbitt and his parents Helen and Roy Nesbitt.
A Memorial Service will be held in his honor and remembrance in the Spring of 2022.
