Rex Albert Robison's Obituary
Rex Albert Robison, age 77, of South Jordan, Utah, passed away on August 31, 2025. He was born on January 5, 1948, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Rex graduated from Highland High School in 1966 and later attended Westminster College. On his twentieth birthday, January 5, 1968, he joined the Utah Air National Guard, where he proudly served for 28 years in the 40th AE Squadron, 939 Medical Squadron, in Portland, Oregan and retired as Chief Master Sargeant. Throughout his career, Rex also worked for Industrial Supply in Salt Lake City, Utah, as well as Industrial Supply Arizona. He completed his professional life as a supervisor with the Transportation Security Administration at Sky Harbor Airport in Arizona.
Rex married Ulla Sponbeck, and together they welcomed two sons, Adam and Scott Robison. He later married Karen Sagehorn, and they had one son, Bradon Devin Robison. Rex later married Paula McCoy. Though these marriages ended in divorce, each chapter of his life was marked by love, growth, and family.
Over the years, Rex made his home in Cottonwood Heights, Utah; Seattle, Washington; and Cave Creek, Arizona, before returning to South Jordan to be near family and lifelong friends.
Rex was the son of Marion Robison and Vanetta Adams, and the beloved brother of Faye, Kay, Mark, and Val Robison. All of them preceded him in death and, in faith and love, we imagine them joyfully welcoming him home.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Mt. Olympus Rehab for the care and kindness they showed Rex. A special thank-you to Terry, whose presence and warmth always brought a smile to his face.
Premier Funeral Service, located at 67 East 80th South in Salt Lake City, Utah, assisted the family with arrangements.
Rex will always be remembered as the Best Santa Ever, bringing joy, laughter, and love wherever he went.
