Richard Todd Carlson's Obituary
Richard Todd Carlson was born July 3rd, 1962 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He returned home to meet his Heavenly Father on February 7th, 2024 peacefully at his home in the early morning hours. He was a loving husband, father, and friend and went above and beyond for his family. His family was his whole world.
Todd was well respected in his line of work in the boat industry. He was hard working at his job and his co-workers and clients loved him. Over the span of 15 years, Todd touched 15,000 boats, thus touching the lives of 15,000 families. He was the greatest handyman and could pretty much fix anything. He had an array of projects he completed at home, including beautiful wooden floors. He was a doer and would often say with a smile on his face, “I can do this myself.”
Todd had many passions in life. He absolutely loved anything with aviation and created many model planes, his last pride and joy being a Thunderbird. He was amazing at air brushing, bringing colors to life. He loved high performance vehicles, including his own - a beautiful black Camaro, which he referred to as ‘The Black Widow’. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching Star Wars and playing video games, one of his favorites being Call of Duty. He also loved watching Nascar and was a huge fan of Jeff Gordon #24. He had a great love and appreciation for music, spanning from 80’s rock to modern day popular hits. He loved spending time with his family. He attended many concerts with his wife and kids, that being one of their favorite activities, just having fun and rocking out together. He and his family had a home away from home, spending time together on countless vacations to Florida and St. Thomas in the Caribbeans. He loved the ocean and collecting seashells on the beach. Todd did everything he could to make countless memories for his family and they will forever be etched into their hearts. He was truly the best husband, father, and friend to all and will be greatly missed. We love you Todd!
He is survived by his beautiful wife Natalie Carlson and his precious children: Eric Carlson and Kathryn Carlson. He is also survived by his father Kent Carlson, his step-mother Laura Carlson, and his step-siblings.
