Richard Calton Jones passed away 1 August 2016 from complications of Lewy Body Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease.
A private family graveside service was held Farmington Cemetery on 10 August 2016.
Dick as he was known to friends and family served his Country in the Korean War (Air Force). He served his Father in Heaven in several capacities including Bishop, High Council, Sunday School, Primary, and Elders Quorum. He served as a Councilman for Farmington City. He married his High School Sweetheart, Donna Larsen 19 January 1951 and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. He loved sports and outdoor activities. He had many a successful hunt for Elk, Moose, Duck and Pheasant. He owned Zitzmark Ski Haus, later named Village Sports Den. He enjoyed selling motorhomes at Blaine Jensen R.V. later in his career. He taught his family the value of hard work and honesty. He provided well for his family denying them nothing, and providing many happy memories during daily life activities, fun vacations and quiet moments. He loved the many Irish Setter Hunting Dogs he had through the years, and the many family Dogs he grew to know owned by his children. He had a special bond with Tedi, Golden Retriever the last years of his life.
He is survived by his wife, three children Rebecca "Beci" Gregory, Pamela Jones, Matthew (Anne) Jones, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild, Sister Sharon (Orvin) Hudgeons, Brother Jack (Joni) Jones. Preceded in death by his parents Thomas Leslie and Mary Edith Jones, His Mother and Father In-Law George Edwin and Dorthy Gamble Braby Larsen, Sister and Brother-In-Law, Melva and Jim Duggan and Sister-In-Law Lillian Jones.
