Clearfield-Richard Michael Martinez, 67, passed away May 15, 2024, after battling health issues over the last 6 months.
Richard(Michael) was born January 5, 1957, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Josephine Martinez.
He was raised in Ogden, Utah, where he attended Ogden City Schools.
He enjoyed playing basketball at the Marshal White Community Center.
He enjoyed watching his niece Shauntie, while his sister was at work.
After earning his GED he joined the Army.
He proudly served, his country in the United States Army,
1976-1978.
He returned to Utah after his Military Service, shortly after he moved to Bakersfield, CA, where he resided until May 2021.
At that time he returned to Utah.
Richard(Michael) is survived by daughters Hiedi and Tiffany, son Gabriel, sisters Lenore(Rogelio) and Ramona, brother Jessie, Nieces Shauntie and Natalie, nephews Chad, Steven (Angela), Louis and Cruz.
Richard (Michael) was preceded in death by his mother Josephine, brother Frank and nephew Mario.
Michael we Love you and you will remain in our hearts until we meet again.
A Private Service was held at St Mary’s Catholic Church.
