Richard Martin Muse

Richard Martin Muse passed away the afternoon of April 28, 2021 to be with his loved ones in heaven at the age of 83.
Richard was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on December 16, 1937. He was raised in a loving home by his parents John and Joan Muse. He married his eternal companion, Dottie Louise Park on August 22, 1958 and was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They were married for 55 years until her passing on July 8, 2014.
Richard graduated from Olympus High School and soon after graduation joined the Utah Army National Guard and served six months of active duty. For most of his working years, Richard was a painting contractor as well as an accomplished artist.
Richard lived a life of service to his family, friends, and Church. He was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was a dedicated Home Teacher.
Richard’s children and grandchildren were the light of his life and he was a relentless teaser to all of them. He was a great example, easy to forgive and well loved by all he came in contact with because of his warm heart and generosity.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Pointe Meadows Health and Rehabilitation Center for all their love and care for Richard over the past several years.
He is survived by his children Sherrie (Daniel) Dwyer of Castle Rock, CO; Richard Muse of W. Jordan, UT; Cory Muse of W. Jordan, UT; Michael (Tawnya) Muse of Highland, UT; Dana Muse of W. Jordan, UT; His 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother Ralph Alexander, sister Evelyn Howick, brother Cory Muse and sister Marion Zippro. Graveside services will be held May 1, 2021 at 11:00 am at Elysian Burial Gardens at 1075 E 4580 S, Murray, UT. Arrangements under the direction of Premier Funeral Services, Salt Lake City, UT.
