Richard Edward Scholle Sr's Obituary
Richard was born on October 16th, 1928, in Cleveland, Ohio. He attended Bedford High School where he was in the “B” club, Aeronautics Club and excelled in track. He graduated in 1947.
After high school he was in the Air Force for four years, serving from 1948 to 1952. While stationed at Hill Air Force base he was introduced to and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He attended BYU where he served as an editor of the Daily Universe, graduating in June of 1955 with a Bachelors degree in Journalism. He then took classes and received his teaching license for secondary education English. He had many vocational pursuits including a writer for “The Instructor” in the mid 1960’s.
He married Margaret Pearle Curtis and they had four sons – Richard Edward, Jr., Wayne Keith, Brian Curtis and Dale Allen.
His interests were varied and included following BYU sports, hiking Timpanogos, square dancing, family history research, professional writing and skip tracing.
He is survived by his four sons, seventeen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
