Richard "Skip" Wallace King's Obituary
Richard “Skip” Wallace King
Skip, age 86 of Clinton, Utah went to Our Lord on Saturday, March 30th, 2024, peacefully at home, with family by his side. Skip was the eldest son of Lester and Alice King. He grew up in Wolverton, Minnesota. He had many occupations, but retired as manager of the Fargo, N.D. Farmer Brother’s Coffee distribution center in 1999. Skip lived a full life! He traveled and lived in Europe and all over the USA. He was a kind man – a real people person – who would, and often did, take the time to stop and talk to anyone. He loved to tell jokes, play cards and was an ardent Vikings van! Most important to Skip, however, were our Lord God, his wife of 65 years, Sonja, and his family.
Skip is survived by his beloved wife, Sonja, his son Richard / Lois King, his daughter Nona / Richard Knudson, his daughter Shawnna / Shawn Ottum, 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alice and Lester King, his brother Gary King and his brother-in-law Darrell Jacobson.
A sincere thank you from Skip’s family for the support & care given by Hospice.
A memorial service is being planned for this summer.
