Richard M Walker's Obituary
Richard M. Walker, age 70, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, at Monument Health Care in Bountiful, Utah.
Richard was born on May 1, 1956, in Park City, Utah, to Richard Paul Walker Jr. and Muriel Ann Walker. He attended Viewmont High School in Bountiful, Utah, and spent a cherished summer in Alaska with his best friend, Kim Randall, creating memories that lasted a lifetime.
Throughout his working years, Richard was employed by R&S Balancing Company and later worked in interior reconditioning at Living Color Co. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his craft.
On April 30, 1981, Richard married his longtime friend and the love of his life. Together they built a life centered on family, friendship, and shared adventures.
Richard was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and shooting. Some of his favorite times were weekend trips to Wendover with his wife, where they enjoyed gambling, attending concerts, and spending quality time together. He also loved playing with his dog, Arlo, and taking him along on scenic drives to admire the beautiful fall leaves.
Richard is survived by his son, Richard Paul Walker (Jodie Wilde); stepdaughter, Hope (Dave) Waldvogel; daughter-in-law, Tori Sturgeon; 11 grandchildren, Bradley, Jaydee, Cord, Anthony, Daniel, Donnie, Sam, Ty, Ava, Chris, and Zoe; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Muriel Walker; his beloved wife, Shirlene Walker; and his stepson, Harley.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 6, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 1476 North 300 West, Bountiful, Utah 84010.
Richard will be remembered for his love of family, his loyalty to his friends, his adventurous spirit, and the many memories he created with those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
