Richard E. Williams, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home in West Jordan, Utah, on April 10, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was 96 years old.
Born on April 26, 1927, in Maynard, Arkansas, Richard was a man of great character and strength. He met his lifelong love, Inez, while attending the Arkansas School for the Deaf, forging a partnership that would flourish over the next 77 years. Together, they built a life filled with mutual respect, love, and adventure.
Richard's professional life was marked by his meticulous work as a paint inspector at Ford Motor Company in Milpitas, California, where he dedicated many years of service. His keen eye for detail and commitment to excellence earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues.
Richard's true passions, however, were found in the great outdoors. An avid hunter and fisherman, he spent countless hours in nature, a place where he felt most at peace. His love for cowboy culture and the American West also saw him traveling extensively across the country, exploring new territories, and revisiting favorite old haunts, often accompanied by his family who shared in these adventures.
Above all, Richard cherished his family. His marriage to Inez was a testament to enduring love and partnership, providing a strong foundation for their three children. He is survived by his wife, Inez Williams; son, Robert Williams; son, Richard Williams; and daughter, Kimberly Brown. His role as a father and grandfather defined his later years, filled with moments of joy, guidance, and endless support.
A memorial service to celebrate Richard's life will be held on April 15, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Premier Funeral Services 67 E 8000 S, Midvale Utah. The family invites you to join them in remembering a man whose life was full of passion, dedication, and love.
