Ricky Lynn Taylor's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Ricky Lynn Taylor
Ricky Lynn Taylor, 57, of Ogden, Utah, passed away on April 8, 2026. He was born December 21, 1968, in Price, Utah.
Ricky wasn’t the kind of person you forget. He was loud, funny, a little wild, and always 100% himself. If he walked into a room, you knew it. He said what was on his mind, spoke from the heart, and made sure the people he loved knew exactly how he felt about them.
He worked for many years as a forklift driver at Hershey’s and Better Being. To Ricky, work wasn’t just work—it was about the people. He came up with ideas like “The Wall of Fame” and “Touchdowns” to recognize his coworkers and make things more fun, because that’s just who he was—always trying to lift people up.
Ricky loved being outside—fishing, golfing with his brothers, or just being near the mountains. He was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan and loved football in general. Win or lose, he was all in.
Music was a huge part of his life. He loved Ozzy Osbourne and played his songs on repeat more times than anyone could count. And if there was a karaoke mic around, Ricky was probably already on it. He didn’t care how he sounded—he just loved it.
More than anything, Ricky loved his family. His kids and grandkids were everything to him. Weekends spent with his grandkids were his favorite, and those are the moments he held onto the most. The little things mattered to him, and family was always at the center of it all.
He is survived by his daughters, Ashley Taylor-Dehn and Nikole Taylor; his grandchildren, Kameron LaFrancois, Ryker Dehn, Legacee Clipperton, Legend Clipperton, and Jax Watkins; and his Wife but separated, Karen Taylor.
He is also survived by his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and extended family: Mike Dehn, Robert (Bob) and Tabby Giolas, Shane Taylor, Sheri and Jeremy Savage, Shawn Taylor, Josh Taylor, Benjamin Taylor, Carl Louis Kaleohano Peiler Sr., Crystal Nicol Bray, Kodie Nicol Boren, Keilana Leah Peiler, Lilinoe Sarah Jo Peiler, Carl Louis Kaleohano Peiler Jr. Julie and Roy Bustos, Joe and Ruby Munoz, Mike Dopp Hardcastle, and Samantha Pfleegor, Nicolas Kosta Castorena, along with many more who loved him like family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Connie Bentley-Taylor; his brother, Cory Taylor; his son, Ricky Austin Taylor; and his grandmother, Marcella Rhodes.
Ricky left a mark on everyone he met. He was the kind of person you don’t replace. He’ll be missed deeply, but never forgotten.
Be strong for Ricky—that’s what he would’ve wanted.
We love you. Always.
