"Robbie" Patrick Robert Ottis Perry's Obituary
“Robbie” Patrick Robert Ottis Perry, 48, of Tooele, Utah, passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully on October 20, 2025, at IHC Hospital, surrounded by loved ones. Born on March 14, 1977, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to “Trish” Patricia King and “Bob” William Perry, Robbie was the oldest of four siblings.
He was known for his big heart, skilled hands, and larger-than-life personality. A gifted mechanic and handyman, he was often found under the hood of a car or out in the demolition derby arena, doing what he loved most. Robbie’s love for engines was only matched by his love for people. His kindness and generosity knew no bounds; he was always ready to lend a hand, give a hug, share a laugh, or brighten someone’s day. His warmth, strength, and unwavering support left a mark on everyone he met.
He is survived by his beloved girlfriend, Jaimie Merryfield, and his five children: Schyler Cook, Ethan Perry, Ryan Perry, Sean Perry, Shelby Perry, and his bonus daughter, Tia Dewsnip. He was a proud grandfather to two granddaughters, with a third grandchild on the way. Robbie also leaves behind his parents, Trish and Bob, and his siblings: Shane (Mindy), Spring (Tyson) Clements, and Jimmy (Annie) Perry, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and dear friends.
He is preceded in death by his father figure, Bruce “Papa” Maddox; his grandparents, Willie and Sally Perry, David and Rayda King; and his Aunts Linda and Carol, and Uncle Dave. We find peace in knowing they are now joyfully reunited.
A viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m., followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 323 East Erda Way, Erda, Utah. A luncheon will be served following the service.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at IHC Hospital for their compassionate care and support in Robbie’s final moments. Your kindness meant the world to us.
Robbie’s legacy of love, generosity, and joyful spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed.
