Robert Phillip Anderson's Obituary
Robert Phillip Anderson, 76, passed away on September 5, 2015. He was born on July 3, 1939 in Salt Lake City to Phil M. and Louise Beckstrom Anderson.
Robert graduated from South High School and the University of Utah. He was an avid fisherman but never realized his dream of catching a large Mackinaw trout in Fish Lake. He enjoyed writing books about Fish Lake. He was the president of Golden Ensign Mining Co. and work at KFC.
He served in the Army in the Berlin Call up in 1961 and was honorably discharged after serving in the Operation Desert Strike in 1964. Robert was very religious and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved to study Egyptology all his life.
He is survived by his brother, John L. Anderson and 32 nephews and nieces and many good Friends.
Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 200 N. St, SLC, UT 84103. Viewing will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday at the LDS 10th Ward building, located at 420 S. 800 E. SLC, UT 84102.
