Robert "Bob" Elias Duenas' Obituary
Robert Elias Duenas “Bob” was born September 12, 1946 in Price, Utah to Patricio & Rose Duenas. He had four brothers Manuel, Raymond, Fernando & David and he had one sister Patricia. He was raised in Magna, Utah. He attended Cyprus High School. It was there he met his wife Joyce Bennett.
Bob and Joyce were married on July 2, 1966. They started a family right away. Together they had 4 daughters Kimberly, Janae, Julie & Rose and many grandchildren. Bob and Joyce have 2 granddaughters they raised as their own, Shaunte & Ashley. Bob had many nieces and nephews.
Bob passed away on the morning of October 17, 2022 in Sandy, Utah after a battle with gallbladder cancer.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Patricio and Rose; his siblings Manuel, Raymond and Patricia; daughter, Julie; and his grandson, Taylor Yager.
Bob moved to Southern California at a young age where he discovered his love for boats, cars and the beach. The passion he had for boats and cars landed him in the fiberglass career and in the early 80’s opening his own trucking business. He loved driving Interstate 5 up to Northern California delivering spas and boats listening to country music and the Eagles. He enjoyed a good boat race. On many occasions we as a family found ourselves at Puddingstone Lake watching boat races on a Saturday afternoon. He loved to watch the California sunset. When he moved back to Utah he would always say how much he missed the California sunset and palm trees. Dad also enjoyed a good bologna sandwich or a bean and mayonnaise sandwich- I know gross, but he loved them. Dad taught us many life lessons along our journey in life.
Bob is survived by his wife, Joyce and his 3 daughters Kimberly (Steve) Yager, Janae (Tracy) Price and Rose (Adolfo) Guangorena and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
We would like to thank all those who provided care for him over the past 2 years.
