Robert (Bob) Folkes' Obituary
Robert W. (Bob) Folkes, age 82, ascended to his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. He was born February 9, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. He joined the United States Navy in 1959 and was Honorably Discharged in 1963. On April 1, 1966, he married Carolyn Bozarth and they had two children together. Robert was devoted to his family throughout his life. He cherished spending time with his family and his friends. Other interests included: bowling, fishing, camping, and gambling. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a lifelong giver to those in need. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn, of more than 57 years, their children, Brad and his wife, Launa Folkes of Tooele, UT and Vickie Bush, and her husband, Harley Bush of Auburndale, FL. He is also survived by two grandchildren: Kevin Folkes and his wife Jessica of Grantsville, UT, and Maddisyn Wheelock of Salt Lake City, UT. He is survived by two sisters, Jeanne Moan of Murrells Inlet, SC and Cheryl Berry of Acworth, GA and one brother Steve Folkes and his wife, Cheryl, of Albuquerque, NM. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. A brother, Tom Folkes, and a sister, Tamala Brock, preceded him in death.
