Robert (Bob) John Lane's Obituary
Robert (Bob) John Lane, 79, of North Salt Lake City, Utah died December 11, 2024 at Creekside Senior Living Center, Bountiful, Utah.
Bob was the son of the late Robert R. and E. Louise Lane of Flint, MI. He was born February 28, 1945 in Flint,MI. He graduated from Flint St. Matthews in 1963. He served in the US Army and did a tour in Vietnam in 1968 and 1969.
He graduated from Western MI. and ended up working for the VA in Salt Lake City, UT. as a project manager retiring in 2011.
He married the love of his life, Margaret (Russell) on June 20, 1970 and they moved to Utah in 1985. Margaret preceeded him in death February 12, 2009
Bob is survived by his sister, Peggy (Wayne) Coon and their 3 sons, Bob (Angie), Doug (Keri) and Andy ( Laura). Plus 3 great nieces and nephew.
Bob is all so survived by sister-in-law, Joan(Joe) LePard, Mary Brockband and brother-in-law John (Barbara) Russell. All so nieces and nephews, Cathy of CA. Tim(Terry) of MI. Jennifer of MN. and Mike of MI.
Bob had several friends here in Utah and was well liked! He had 2 special friends in Michigan, Craig Birnie & Michael Sarnacki, who Bob called Nate!.
Memorial service will be held in Michigan at a later date! Bob was cremated and will be placed with Margaret in Flint, Michigan! R.I.P. Bob, You will be missed! Love You Always Brother Dear, Your Loving sister, Till We meet again!!
