Robert "Bobby" L Williams Jr.'s Obituary
Bobby Williams, 48, of Syracuse, Utah passed away on May 26, 2026.
Born February 10, 1978 in Salt Lake City, Utah he was the child of Bob and Vicky Williams. Bobby grew up in West Valley City, Utah and graduated from Taylorsville High School in 1996 where he was known as the class clown and for being a star athlete. He ran track, threw discus and shotput, but most importantly he lettered in football all 3 years of high school.
Starting at 16, Bobby worked in metal manufacturing. He was often a trusted supervisor and caring coworker. As a young man, Bobby was already skilled in teaching and training other employees all over the manufacturing plant. He was a fast learner, skilled worker and helped make every place he worked a safer environment.
Bobby loved camping, riding, being outdoors and anything that included being with his family and friends. He was always starting a new project. Bobby would get and idea and build it into a beautiful reality. You could always count on Bobby for a good laugh and a safe place to talk. He was loving, trustworthy and always willing to put others before himself. And you knew he loved you if he picked on you when he saw you. Bobby really was the best person you could have had the pleasure of knowing.
As Bobby got older, he was diagnosed with diabetes, which began a long health battle. Bobby was a fighter and dealt with many extensive health issues, most significantly, kidney failure. Bobby was on dialysis for 8 long years and rarely complained about it. He rarely took on each day and fought hard for his life every day until he finally received a kidney transplant in February of 2024. He made the best of these last 2 years with his new kidney. We were camping and riding again and making plans to go on his first cruise. Unfortunately, Bobby has a massive heart attack on Sunday May 24, 2026, fell into a coma and passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, surrounded by his family and friends.
Bobby is survived by his parents, Bob and Vicky Williams, his wife Julie Williams, his daughter Eryn Williams, his son Kanyon Williams and his stepsons Brayden Smith and Bryeson Smith. His sister, Liz (Dave) Prentice, Nephew Ralph Bernal and Niece Caitlin (Jared) Alstrom, as well as his great nephews and niece, Colby, Lizzy and Teddy. As well as his best fur buddy, Blue.
A celebration of life will be held on June 12, 2026 at Premier Funeral Services (67 E 8000 S, Midvale, Utah) from 6 to 7pm. Please honor Bobby by wearing Raider gear, or Raiders colors of silver and black, or just dress casually.
