Robert Lee Case, Sr.'s Obituary
Robert Lee Case, Sr "Bob” passed away surrounded by his family in West Valley City, Utah on May 14, 2015 at the age of 71.
Bob was born January 10, 1944 in Caldwell, Idaho. He was raised in various cities, mostly in Wyoming as his Dad was a road construction worker. He graduated from Bountiful High School in 1962 and joined the Air Force after graduation. He was stationed in Riverside, CA at March Air Force Base. His joy while in the Air Force was working with the Sentry Dogs. He met the love of his life, Linda Larsen, in May 1965 and they were married on September 2, 1965. They were sealed for all time and eternity on June 10, 1975. Bob joined the Army in September 1974. He was stationed in Utah, Germany, Virginia and Maryland. He discovered a new love while in the Army, coaching his kids in sports. He was known as “Coach” in every community he lived in.
He had many hobbies including stock-car racing, woodworking, watching the Wyoming Cowboys play football, caring for his dogs and enjoying every moment with his family.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, James and Dorine Case, brother Walter (Sonny); 2 sisters Pat Fanning and Peggy Sullivan. He is survived by his wife, Linda and 6 children; Barbara (Richard Boone), Jeff (Donna), Rob (Dena), James (Heather), Matthew (Jennie), and Marty (Emalie). He is also survived by two brothers Ronald (Bonnie) and Richard (Kathy); 18 grandchildren: Ashley (Taylor Mclean), Mathew Webb (Tiffany), Brittany Webb, Meghan, Dallin, Elizabeth, Tabitha, Seth, Skyler, Savannah, Sage, Hadley, Payton, Brooklyn, Jameson, Paige, Avery, and Lauren; 2 great grandchildren, Melanie Bird, Bostin Miles and one on the way.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the Hunter 20th Ward building, 7035 Lochness Ave, West Valley City, UT Family will visit with friends and family from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Burial with military honors will be at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park in Bluffdale.
