Robert Roy Chytraus January 23, 1935- October 8, 2015
Bob Chytraus passed away on Thursday, October 8 after battling cancer for several months. He was born on January 23, l935 in Rockford, Illinois to Elmer and Virginia Chytraus. Bob graduated from East High School and the University of Utah in Civil Engineering.His passion in life was being a charter pilot for many years.While attending his high school reunion, he met Elizabeth Roestenburg Lether and they were married soon after. Family was very important to him and he will be missed by many. He is survived by his son, Chad, 3 grandchildren Kaylie, Kimmie and Logan, sisters Joan (Phil) Conger, Carol (Craig) Battison, and Margaret Anderson. He is also survived by his stepchildren Cloyd Hepworth, Kathy (Jim) Cherrette, Debbie (Lynn) Jorde, Shaun Lether, Shelli Lether, 10 step grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Brett. He preceded his wife Elizabeth in death by 57 minutes. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Utah Valley Rehabilitation and Holladay Healthcare and to One Care Hospice for their compassion and caring. Private family services were held Saturday at Elysian Gardens.
