Robert Lowell Davenport's Obituary
Robert Lowell Davenport, affectionately known as “Rob”, born to Lynn and Cindy James Davenport in 1973, suddenly passed away on August 29th, 2025, at the age of 51 due to complications stemming from organ failure, surrounded by his family.
Growing up in Nampa, Idaho, Robert was a star basketball player for Nampa High, earning 1st team in the Southern Idaho Conference, 1st team All-State, and voted as Most Valuable Offense by his coach, Greg Kimball. Robert was a force to be reckoned with, and is still remembered by many for his loyalty, work ethic, and charm, both on and off the court. He later served a mission in the Tokyo Japan South Mission, carrying his love for the culture and food throughout his life.
After moving to Utah to attend BYU, he married Kristen Hansen Williamson in 1995 welcoming their son Kaiden two years later. In 2002 he was married to Donna Root, and their son Gage was born soon after. Then in 2006, he met Leslie Hansen, and they had many happy years of marriage before going their separate ways in 2016.
He made a career as a Mortgage Broker, buying Acceptance mortgage and building it into a successful business, helping hundreds of families achieve their dream of being homeowners. Outside his work, he enjoyed spending time in the mountains, fishing, riding ATVs, skiing, shooting guns, and any other activities he could get his hands on.
Rob leaves behind two sons, Kaiden and Gage, whom he loved more than anything. He was very passionate about their accomplishments and dedicated his life to shaping them into the best men he could. He was also known as ‘Coach’ to many, leading his boys and their teammates to many championships over the years. Many say that he contributed greatly to the players they are today.
He is survived by his two boys, both parents, and five sisters— Rebecca, Melissa, Jessica, Sara, and Dessa – along with their spouses and children.
The family would like to thank Intermountain Hospital in American Fork for their compassionate care of Robert.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday September 13th at 2pm at 651 East 1630 South, Lehi Utah 84043
