Robert James Ferrozzo's Obituary
Robert James Ferrozzo, 73, of Taylorsville, Utah died January 2, 2021, at his home of natural causes. He fought a long battle of heart and diabetes complications.
Robert was born January 5, 1947, in St Paul, Minnesota, to Morris and Lorraine (Schultz) Ferrozzo.
He attended Hill High School in St Paul, Minnesota. He continued his education at Controlled Data Technical Institute. He joined the military and served as a Microwave and Communications Tech Sergeant in the United States Air Force. His first duty station was in Japan supporting the Vietnam War He assisted in installing new equipment to replace the WWII communications equipment afterwards he was stationed in Lincoln, California. He served honorably for four years.
Later he worked as an Operations Manager at Microbot which was a small startup business specializing in medical robotics, in Santa Clara, California, then worked for other startups in the Customer Service field his last big job was working for Apple Computer as a Manager in the product development division for 8 years.
He loved going to church. Growing up he practiced Catholicism. On December 11, 1993 he was baptized to become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Robert and Donna were sealed for time and all eternity in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Oakland, California Temple on May 25, 1996. He held positions as a teacher, elders quorum secretary, and a high priest.
He enjoyed building and flying Radio Controlled Airplanes, playing computer games, watching old classic movies, and gardening.
Robert was married multiple times with his latest to Donna J (Williams) Ferrozzo took place in San Jose, California on May 27, 1988. They celebrated their 33rd anniversary last year.
He is survived by his wife Donna J (Williams) Ferrozzo; Sisters, Pat Chiappetta and MaryJo Dupre and their families; daughter Missy (Ferrozzo) Andrews; stepdaughters, Megan (Ringer) Midgley, Erika (Ringer) Peay, Jeanette (Avina) Bedwell; stepson, Cort M Ringer, and their families and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Morris James Ferrozzo and mother, Lorraine Anna (Schultz) Ferrozzo.
Arrangements are with Premier Funeral Services. A short family burial service will be scheduled for January 12, 2021 and he will reside at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bluffdale, Utah.
