Robert Phillip Jacobson's Obituary
On August 5, 2025, at the age of 75, Robert Philip Jacobson left this life, surrounded by the love of his family, and returned to a joyful reunion with his dear wife, Sandi and their son, Peter.
Born on September 5, 1949, Bob lived a life marked by love, laughter, service, and kindness. A proud Husky, he graduated from the University of Washington before serving his country with honor and dedication as a supply officer in the United States Army.
Bob built a successful career in the insurance industry, lending his expertise to Safeco, Florist Mutual/Hortica, and Instec, where he retired in 2017.
He served faithfully in many callings for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including as a Scoutmaster- where he influenced and guided the lives of countless young men- and as a member of the bishopric, helping his ward family in any way that he could. His faith, generosity, and quiet leadership touched all who knew him.
Above all, Bob was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His greatest joy was found in his family. He is lovingly remembered by his five children: Stacee (Gary) Hunsaker, Cindee (Nathan) DeWitt, Jason (Alexis), Michael (Lyan), Cassidy (Jordan) Steinke; 19 grandchildren: Alex (Joey), Tyler, Brian, Jaden, Maddux, Taylor (Luke), Brayden, Sandra Allison, Paul, Ben, Ryan, Piper, Thomas, Peter, Cayde, Gwendolyn, Winter and Sage; two great-grandchildren: Makiah and Beckham; and brother, Richard (Sandra). His home was always a place of peace and welcome, where his quiet spirit of kindness guided and protected those he loved.
Bob also had a love for science fiction, especially Star Trek, and enjoyed sharing that passion with those around him. His humor, wisdom, and gentle presence will be deeply missed, yet his legacy of love will continue to inspire his family for generations.
He was goodness and decency personified.
While we mourn his passing, we find comfort in knowing that he is reunited with Sandi and Peter, and that his life was one of devotion — to God, to his country, and to those he cherished most.
Rib and Sandi are finally together again, holding their child and exalted in glory. Together, for time and all eternity.
