Robert Kay Rasmussen's Obituary
ROY-Robert Kay Rasmussen, 76
Robert passed away on June 8, 2014, after a 5 year battle with Dementia. He was born in Huntsville, UT on September 25, 1937 to Clifford and Bliss Rasmussen. He married Joan Venable on May 17, 1956, and worked at Hill AFB until he retired in 1993. A very loving husband, father and grandfather, his family always came first. His greatest joy was working on cars and there was nothing he couldn’t fix, he was a jack of all trades. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf and working in the yard. Robert is survived by his wife Joan, his three daughters: Connie Scarborough (Evan) Roy, Carrie Gresham (Jeff) Roy, Genae Rasmussen (Irene) Roy, his 4 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and his brother Verl.
Cremation and a family memorial have taken place. The family would like to thank Heritage Park in Roy and the Silverado Hospice for all they have done, and would like, in lieu of flowers, condolences be a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
