Rob-
Thanks for always being there! Growing up together, you were always available for whatever game or sport we were playing. If your brother Scott and I needed another player be it football, basketball or baseball, you were always on!
When we would snowmobile together, you drove me nuts! We were always looking for Rob! You would be off in the trees somewhere where we could not see you. From jumping off the Big Drift to always being stuck--the mountain never won with you! You would go in some forsaken hole and get stuck, we would help you get out and then, sure enough, you would go right back in the same hole just to get stuck AGAIN. Do you remember the night we got in the argument on which direction it was back to Kim's cabin? Glad I had a compass with me to sort that one out!
Do you remember the snowmobile tilt trailers we built out of our garage? I still have mine and use it every now and again. It has almost rusted away.
When snow skiing you were always on to the steepest run or the biggest jump. You always had the guts to hit any obstacle full steam (While I was always breaking out or slowing down before the launch) Do you remember the time we watched another skier go under the rope(a closed run) just below Bishops Bowl just to watch the face give way in an avalanche? What a blessing that we saw his black cap once the snow dust settled. All of us were shaking so bad by the time we were able to get him unburied, it took all of us a bit to get back to skiing.
Holli and I were so impressed when you showed up at the hospital when Kelsea was born. It was so cool to see you walk in the hospital room unannounced with your motorcycle helmet in hand just to congratulate us and make sure we didn't need anything.
When I walked passed our electrical panel at our home last week, I thought of that cold November night that you stayed very late helping me set it up properly so we could start running wire. You worked with me several nights late to get our home wired. We are so thankful you were willing to help us wire our entire home.
Rob- you are an awesome man and a good friend. We have all been blessed to have you in our lives. Until we meet again-
Scott Young
