Robert Lee Stringer's Obituary
Robert Lee Stringer, 72 of Midway, Utah passed away on January 14, 2017.
Robert was born a twin on November 11 1944 in Los Angeles California and Bob’s twin was born the following day to Joseph and Gertrude Stringer.
Robert went by the name on Bob throughout his life. Bob enjoyed Fishing, Hunting, Boating, the company of a women, and operating his tractor.
Bob served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged.
Bob was a successful entrepreneur throughout is life. As a young child Bob enjoyed working with his father at the mass production furniture company that his father worked for. This is where Bob first discovered his talents of working with his hands. At a young age Bob started his first business called American Shoe Shine. American Shoe Shine was a business of Shining shoes in airports. This business grew quickly and soon expanded to several locations and multiple employees. After American Shoe Shine, Bob moved on to his next business venture designing and producing large rubber boats that were motorized. Bob successfully sold these boats all around the world at trade shows. Bobs next business venture was one that he went on to do the remainder of his life. Before Bob’s Boat business he spent some time on the Indian Reservations on Arizona and New Mexico learning to Silversmith, this is where his passion for jewelry making began, he was the world’s best Silversmith.
Graveside Services will be at 1:00 p.m. at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 South Camp Williams Bluffdale Utah, with military honors.
