Robert Thomas Valles' Obituary
Our beloved father, grandfather, son, and brother Robert Thomas Valles passed away on July 26, 2022. Robert was born on July 9, 1966, to Alex and Roberta Valles in Salt Lake City, UT. He was the second youngest of 7 siblings, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Robert graduated from South High School in 1984. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1995 to 2002. Robert has 3 sons, 2 daughters and six grandchildren. Robert always had nicknames for everyone, Mini for his daughter Dominica, Genie for his daughter Selcia, Papa for his son Roman, Takezia for Kezia, Hurricane Katerina for Catherine, Eliza Doolittle for Elizabeth, Mathis Barnabas and Mat-man for Mathew and so many more. Robert loved music, hiking, driving, baseball, football, movies, and cooking. He was known for his quesadillas and breakfast potatoes.
Robert is survived by his five children, Thomas Valles, Dominica Katharine (Richard Alexander Jr.) Valles, Selcia (Colten Schwemm) Valles, Valince Valles, Roman Valles, six grandchildren, Nakari, Aiyana, Nathen, Axel, Dominick, Lincoln, Parents Alex and Roberta Valles, brothers, Alex Jr. (Cherrie), Florentino (Mary), Nick, Mike, and sister Penny Valles-Lopez. Robert is preceded in death with his grandparents, great grandparents, and his baby sister Kathryn.
The family would like to thank all the wonderful medical personal at St. Mark’s Hospital, the VA Hospital and all the caregivers who have cared for him with such love.
Funeral Services will be held
Monday, August 1, 2022, at
Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church
1040 West 400 South,
Salt Lake City, UT 84104
Family, friends, and parish may gather at 10:00 a.m.
Rosary will be recited at 10:45 a.m.
Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m.
Graveside Services to follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery
May the angels and saints, Kathryn, grandma June, grandpa and grandma Valles and all our family who have passed lead you into paradise where you will not need lamplight nor sunlight because the Lord God’s face will be shining on you forever. Rest in peace.
