We at the Colville Valley Animal Sanctuary were so saddened to read of the passing of Bob, we will miss the wonderful letters we had from Bandit (of course written by Bob) who was corresponding with his doggie friends at the Sanctuary. Bandits story is one we will never forget, he was relinquished to the Sanctuary when Bob and Connie had to move from the Colville area and could not take Bandit with them. Bob and Connie faithfully sent money toward Bandits care until the day they hoped he would be adopted. As the years went by Bandit did not get adopted, always being looked over for for younger dogs...Then word came from Bob and Connie that they were now moving to Utah and would be able to come and get Bandit if he was still at the Sanctuary...The most joyous moment was when they arrived, Bandit knew all along that they would someday come back for him. When they opened their truck door it was as though they had never been away...Bob's kind and gentle spirit will always be in our memory.
