Roberta "Bobby" Henry's Obituary
Roberta “Bobby” Ann Henry, 84, of West Haven, UT returned to the arms of her Heavenly
Father on May 23, 2024 due to complications of Parkinson’s Disease.
Roberta was born on June 8, 1939 in Boston, MA to Nelson Wesley and Ruth Marion Doland.
She lived in many places throughout the world but considered Hollis, NH her home. She married
Lionel Gendron, they had 6 children and were later divorced. She married William Robert Henry
on December 10, 1966 and they were sealed for time and all eternity on June 29, 1972 in the
Salt Lake City Temple Together they adopted a daughter.
She was preceded in death by one child, Richard Nelson Gendron, her parents Nelson and
Ruth Doland, her sisters Elaine Leclerc and Lois Hartwell, her beloved grandparents Charles
and Mabel Fenimore and many greatly missed aunts, uncles and cousins.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, William Robert Henry, one brother Nelson Eugene
Doland of Florida, daughters Andrea Shipley (Steve) of Hurricane, Joyce Isfeld (Joel) of
Hurricane, Rachell Blessing, of Salt Lake, Angela Mitchell of West Haven, sons Lionel Richard
“Beau” Henry of Berwick upon Tweed, United Kingdom, Nelson David Henry, of Ogden and her
lifelong friend Margaret Coggins as well as 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Roberta was adored by everyone who knew her, she only knew a stranger for a moment before
they were instant friends. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
and held many callings in which she gave freely of her time and many talents to serve her
Heavenly Father, the members of her congregation and community. She was an incredibly
talented artist and taught many people how to make porcelain dolls and other crafts. She was
an example of faith, kindness, courage, resilience and unconditional love to all who came into
contact with her.
A graveside service and burial will be held at the West Haven City Cemetery on Tuesday, May
28, 2024 at 11:00am.
The family wishes to extend gratitude to the caring staff at McKay Dee Hospital, Dr Lamotte at
the University of Utah Movement Disorder Clinic and the incredible team from Symbii Home
Health and Hospice, with special thanks to her hospice caregivers Krista and Rilieigh.
