Roberto Nevarez's Obituary
Roberto Nevarez, beloved brother, uncle, and friend tragically passed away on January 11, 2021. He was 28 years old. Roberto, or as many knew him, Beto, was born October 28, 1992 to Emma Martinez and Roberto Nevarez in San Bernardino, California and was the second of four children. Many would agree Beto had a very unique personality and always had a smile on his face. Beto really cared and loved spending time with his friends and family. He worked in carpentry and was involved in building the new international airport as well as many other buildings in the Salt Lake and Utah Valleys. He always liked trying new things and had recently taken up skateboarding but he was truly an artist at heart. What he really enjoyed doing best was writing and producing his own music going by the name “Oteb”. He will truly be missed.
He is survived by his sister Lucy, brothers Luis, Sinai, and Frany, nieces NoEliana, nephews Jordan, Avian, and Santiago, as well as many more of his close family and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother Emma Lucila Martinez, father Roberto Jaquez Nevarez, grandfather Jesus Martinez, and cousin Jose Ibarra.
To any friends and family that would like to pay their respects, there will be a viewing at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4501 W 5215 S Kearns, Friday Feb. 5, at 9 am to 11 am Following will be his burial at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 E 4580 S, Millcreek.
