In loving memory of Rodney Lee Reeves Sr.
Rodney Lee Reeves Sr. 62 of West Jordan,UT passed away unexpectedly surrounded by his family on July 14th,2023 at 6:16pm at St. Mark's Hospital in Millcreek,UT.
Rodney Sr. was born on December 14th,1960 to Arthur and Barbara Reeves in Salt Lake City,UT. He grew up with his four siblings Arthur,Kenneth,Judy and Brett. As a young kid he enjoyed camping and getting into mischief with his siblings. In 1984 he met his now ex-wife Cari Reeves and welcomed four children Amanda,Rodney,Kenneth and Brandy. He loved camping and teaching his kids how to fish and explore the canyons. Best memories were made camping in Beaver Creek and fishing and exploring the High Uintas.
He had a love for music such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Beatles,Scorpions and Creedence Clearwater Revival. He also had a love for treasure hunting at yard sales and thrift stores. He always had his eye out for jewelry,anything railroad and clock related. So pretty much anything antique.
He enjoyed working as a Powder Coat Painter for many years until his health declined. At this time he met his longtime companion Snoopy, his beloved dog.
Rodney Sr. is preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Barbara Reeves and his dog Snoopy. Survived by his four siblings Arthur Reeves, Kenneth Reeves (Daryl), Judy Garn and Brett Reeves. Also his four children Amanda Mcknight, Rodney Reeves Jr.(Ashlee),Kenneth Reeves(Crystal) and Brandy Reeves (Michael). And his 13 grandchildren Kyle, Destiney, Joey, Kyrie, Hailie, Josh, Ava, Jacksen, Mika, Rodney III, Liam, Samuel and Ryker and one great grandchild Alita. And countless nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by all.
A celebration of life will be held on August 5th,2023 at the Intermountain Baptist Church located at 4770 South 1950 West Taylorsville, UT 84129 from 12pm-3pm.
