These are a few pictures from my big brother Chad;)
Roger was my was my stepfather. I thought of him as Dad though. He would always stop what he was doing and either listen or phisically help me with whatever I needed. I love him so much! I have tears streamiing down my face right now. I'm going to miss you so much! He would always ask Sunny and I, (how's your bippy). I am so happy that he came back into our lives and for the time we had together. I am also glad that my Wife Sunny was able to meet him and spend time with him as well. I'm going to miss being able to call you and hear your voice! I love you Dad! You will be greatly missed!
Wow! My heart is heavy… Roger will always be a dad to me. Roger has been around pretty much my entire life. When me and Roger first met I believe I was Five years old, I was not a fan. Roger was taking a lot of my mom’s attention and it didn’t sit well with me. Well, I don’t remember it taking very long for me to realize that under that rough, abrasive, sarcastic, word riddled personality was a huge heart that loved deep. One of my all-time favorite memories of Roger will always be when he came to elementary school with me on bring your father to work day. Roger took my best friend Shane, whose dad couldn’t make it under his wing the entire day. Roger loved being outside. Most of my memories of Roger are filled with camping exploring, adventuring and relaxing, and checking out the views. Roger will always be a part of my life forever in my thoughts. Roger opened up his life many times over many years to my family. Roger is my family and I will always love him.
Roger was my (step) dad even after he and my mom divorced. He was always there for me no matter what. In the past few years, I called him quite a bit whenever I was happy, sad, needed advice… Whatever I needed he was always there. He was always happy to hear my voice and thanked me for calling him every single time. One of my favorite memories of Roger was when I was in middle school and I made him a little train set in my shop class. I was so excited to give it to him and he was so happy to receive it. He displayed it on a shelf for everybody to see. One of the funniest memories I have of Roger is when he asked if he could do laundry at my condominium in Phoenix. I was working, but my husband stopped in and found Roger completely naked sitting on the couch watching TV. My husband asked him why he was sitting on the couch naked and he said, “all of my clothes are in the laundry”. It was so hilarious and I will never forget it. I am going to miss talking with him very much. He was a good man and did so much for our entire family. He is very appreciated and will never be forgotten. ♥️
When we lived in Illinois, our friends had a boat and we went fishing a few times. When Roger asked to row the boat he was given the oars. Well we were caught in a whirlpool and just kept going around and around. We managed to get out of it without getting wet. And Roger did learn how to fish from me. We caught sheep head fish. Little did he know he would be fishing in better lakes in Idaho and Utah.
