I recall a ward dinner where a number of veterans were asked to share experiences. There was a pretty sober mood in the room. Brother Meyers got up and told of tense situation he had been in where they had warned an intruder numerous times he would be shot if he proceeded. They shot. The next day they went to see that their intruder was a cow. They ate well that night. It made for a much needed break in the solemnity of the gathering.
