Roger Wayne Skipper's Obituary
Roger Wayne Skipper, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather went to join his Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.
Roger was born November 6, 1946 in Wilmington, North Carolina, to Martin Vann Skipper and Catherine Watson Skipper.
Roger married the love of his life, Paulette Rogerson on July 29, 1966. Roger and Paulette had 3 daughters.
Roger was in the Air Force stationed at Hill Air Force Base where he received an Honorable Discharge in 1967. He worked as a Sunset City police officer and a volunteer firefighter. He worked as a crane operator for FMC Jetway for 30 years until he retired in 1997.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Roger is survived by his wife, Paulette, of Roy; two daughters, Christina Lopez, Roy; and Julie (Henry – Roger’s buddy) Simpson of Roy; 6 grandchildren (Karissa Rackham, Kyndra (Saul) Gonzalez, Matthew Simpson, Colton Simpson, Conner Chadwick and Gabriella Chadwick), 5 great-grandchildren (Zayne Saguilan, Zarriah Lopez and Aayden Lopez, Koriann Gonzalez and Aleah Gonzalez), as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his only brother Lawrence Van Skipper, his brothers- in-law, Garry Earl Rogerson and Jack Kevin Rogerson, and his daughter Jeanne Lynn Chadwick.
We would like to express a special thank you to Intermountain Hospice for all their tenderness and care they gave to Roger.
We love you dad, we know it is not good-bye, we will all be together one day soon.
Services: Premier Funeral Home, located at 5335 South 1950 West in Roy, Utah

Funeral Service: Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
Interment at Mountain View Cemetery in Eden, Utah.
